Ethylene oxide, an organic substance with the chemical formula C2H4O, is a toxic carcinogen used in the manufacture of fungicides. Ethylene oxide is flammable and explosive, not easy to transport long distances, so it has a strong regional. 

What should we pay attention to when storing ethylene oxide?

Ethylene oxide was stored in spherical tanks with added refrigeration at a storage temperature of 10 degrees. Because the flash point of ring B is very low, it will explode, so it is safe to freeze storage.

1. Horizontal tank (pressure vessel), Vg=100m3, built-in cooler (cylinder clamp or inner coil, add frozen water), nitrogen seal. Add polyurethane blocks for insulation

2. The design pressure is the maximum pressure value of the nitrogen system (EO storage nitrogen seal will not affect its purity, but also can effectively reduce its explosion risk).

3. Built-in cooler: it is the tube bundle (or core) of U-shaped tube heat exchanger, designed to be detachable, easy to repair and replace.

4. The built-in cooling coil is fixed: the snake condenser is in the storage tank and cannot be disassembled.

5. Cooling medium: no difference, are frozen water (a certain proportion of ethylene glycol aqueous solution).

Note: EO nitrogen seal requires high nitrogen purity, at least between 99.99 and 99.9999%.
