Hydrocarbon Refrigerant Gas
Time : 2024-08-29

Hydrocarbon refrigerants are actually one of the most refrigerants.

Hydrocarbon refrigerants have two major advantages: energy saving and environmental protection.

Energy saving: air conditioning with hydrocarbon refrigerant can save about 15% to 35% energy consumption than air conditioning with R134 and R22. Environmental protection: hydrocarbon refrigerant is a natural working medium, so it has no pollution to the atmosphere, no damage to the ozone layer by liquid gas and almost zero greenhouse effect.

Classification: Ammonia, freon and hydrocarbons are widely used in compression refrigerants.

According to chemical composition, refrigerants can be divided into five categories: inorganic compound refrigerants, freon, saturated hydrocarbon refrigerants, unsaturated hydrocarbon refrigerants and azeotropic mixture refrigerants.

According to the condensing pressure, refrigerants can be divided into three categories: high temperature (low pressure) refrigerants, medium temperature (medium pressure) refrigerants, and low temperature (high pressure) refrigerants.

Inorganic compound refrigerants This type of refrigerant was used earlier, such as ammonia (NH3), water (H2O), air, carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2), etc. For inorganic compound refrigerants, the international code name is R and the following three digits, among which the first digit is "7" and the last two digits are the molecular weight. Such as water R718, etc. Freon (halocarbon refrigerant) Freon is a general term for derivatives after the replacement of all or part of chlorine (Cl), fluorine (F) and bromine (Br) in saturated hydrocarbons. International regulations use "R" as the code name of this type of refrigerant, such as R22. Some people call it Freon. The main refrigerants in this category are methane, ethane, propane, butane and cyclic organic compounds. Unsaturated hydrocarbon refrigerants are mainly ethylene (C2H4), propylene (C3H6) and their halogen element derivatives, and their R after the number is mostly "1", such as R113, R1150, etc. High temperature, medium temperature and low temperature refrigerants are generally divided into three categories according to the saturation pressure Pk and normal evaporation temperature T0 when the refrigerant condenses in the condenser at room temperature: 1. Low pressure high temperature refrigerant. It is suitable for centrifugal refrigeration compressor of air conditioning system. 2. Medium pressure medium temperature refrigerant. Such as R717, R12, R22, etc., this kind of refrigerant is generally used in ordinary single-stage compression and double-stage compression piston refrigeration compressor. 3. High pressure low temperature refrigerant. Such as R13 (CF3Cl), R14 (CF4), carbon dioxide, ethane, ethylene, etc., this kind of refrigerant is suitable for the low temperature part of the cascade refrigeration device or the low temperature device below -70℃.
