Oxygen (O₂) is a chemical element. At normal temperature and pressure, it is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas. Its molecule is formed by two oxygen atoms connected by a double bond. Oxygen itself is non-flammable, but it is a strong oxidizer and can strongly assist combustion.
