Krypton (Kr) is a rare gas element. At normal temperature and pressure, it is a colorless, odorless, non-flammable inert gas. It is one of the rare gases present in extremely small quantities in the Earth's atmosphere (about 1 ppm). Its chemical properties are stable, but its atomic weight, density and refractive index are all higher than those of argon.
