Blueforsl on April 8 introduced Cryomech HeRL02-RM, a new helium reliquefier designed for the recovery of helium from a single nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) unit.

Helium reliquefiers help conserve the use of precious helium, protect users from helium supply problems and prevent helium price fluctuations.

The system creates a closed-loop, zero-evaporation system for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) magnets. The evaporated helium passes through a steam return line to a pulse-tube cryocooler-powered reliquefying vessel, which immediately liquefies the evaporated helium and returns it to the magnet's helium bath.

The new helium reliquefier model utilizes a remote motor to minimize vibrations that can interfere with sensitive NMR spectra. HeRL02-RM has been field tested on multiple devices with different magnet strengths and has no impact on the results.
