Application

One of the most basic raw materials of petrochemical industry.

It is mainly used as standard gas for analytical instruments in petrochemical enterprises.

Ethylene is used as an environmentally friendly ripening gas for navel oranges, tangerines, bananas and other fruits.

Ethylene is used in pharmaceutical synthesis and high-tech material synthesis.

Notes

High purity ethylene is a compressed liquefied gas, which should be handled and transported lightly. Ethylene cylinders should be kept away from heat sources and open flames to prevent exposure. Ethylene and oxygen, nitrous oxide, chlorine and other oxidants should be stored separately and ventilated. No flammable items should be piled up around them. Before using ethylene gas, the gas cylinder shall be fixed to the frame or fence by iron chain. It is strictly prohibited to connect different gases to the same gas line. When using ethylene, flammable gas pressure reducing valve (pressure reducing meter) should be used, and the gas tightness of the pipeline should be detected. It is strictly forbidden to use gas under the condition of gas leakage. The gas valve must be switched on and off slowly, and the cylinder valve should be kept closed when not using gas. The residual pressure of the used gas cylinder should be retained above 0.05Pa according to the regulations, and the residual pressure of flammable gas should be retained above 0.2MPa. All kinds of cylinders should be special cylinders, must be regularly inspected for safety.
