Hydrogen (H₂) is the simplest inorganic molecule, existing as a colorless, odorless, flammable and explosive gas at room temperature and pressure. It is used in fuel cells, aerospace fuel and other fields. Industrially, it serves as a core feedstock for ammonia synthesis, methanol production and hydroprocessing in petroleum refining, and is also applied in sophisticated processes such as semiconductor manufacturing and float glass production.
